SPECIAL ONGOING WORKSHOP Wednesday Night Healing Circle The Open Mind Healing Circle is a place for those who do healing work and for those who are seeking healing work. Mantras Mantras are phrases said internally or out loud that are used for goals such as manifestation, healing, removal of obstacles, moving towards personal enlightenment, or raising of personal energy to open spiritual abilities. This class will cover using Sanskrit mantras that are derived from the Hindu spiritual tradition of India and have been used there for thousands of years. Mantra repetition can be very effective to accelerate one's spiritual energy for empowered manifestation. The meaning of Sanskrit words used will explained to bring understanding of the source of the mantras. Mantras presented will be simple to learn and apply for personal goals. Ceremonial Circle Our concentration will be on the Ceremonial Circle. We will be performing rituals to connect to the cycles of Mother Nature, the 4 elements and the 7 directions. Our Journey practice will include the “middle and upper realms.” Those attending the workshop will need to bring a journal, notebook, pen or pencil and a BANDANA. A Shaman's Doorway will be a series of workshops that will introduce the student to the practice of Core Shamanism. You will learn the history of Shamanic Practice and the significance and use of the Ceremonial Circle, Shamanic Power Tools and Spirit Helpers and Guides. The student will also learn about the Three Non-ordinary Realities: the Lower Realm, the Middle Realm and the Upper Realm, and learn methods used to tap into these Non-ordinary Realms. Join us for a lively interactive discussion and exploration of the Mayan Calendar with Carol Ann Ciocco. Class One – September 27, 2007 – What is the Mayan Calendar? We will explore the origins of the Calendar, the different types of calendars created by the Mayans, and the basic theories of the major modern Mayan Calendar authors and the 2012 end-date.Why does it seem like Time is Speeding Up? In this class, we will explore in detail the theories of Mayan Scholar Carl Johann Calleman, and his book “The Mayan Calendar: The Greatest Mystery of Our Time.” We will study the 6 days and 7 nights of the Galactic Underworld and the Mayan Calendar as a Map of Creation. We will also look into the ‘speeding up of time’ and how the Mayan Calendar explains this phenomenon. This class will culminate in a Meditation uniting us with the Global Brain and the Heart of our Galaxy (Hunab Ku). (Handouts and information will be provided.) Class Two – October 11, 2007 – What is Sacred or Holy Time and how can we Synch-up with it? In this class we will explore the unique creative energies of each day as described by the 20 Tzolkin and the 13 Tones. Class Three – October 25, 2007 – Looking ahead to 2012 – what is ahead for us in the next 5 years? We will look at ways we can successfully work with the intense energies of this time, and will experience a special Guided Meditation where we explore the Hunab Ku - the Heart of our Galaxy and the place where Time originates, according to the Mayans.
